Driving Directions to Courthouse, Sheriff's Department and Jail
Take US-41 (north from Calumet, or south from Copper Harbor) to M-26 in Phoenix. Turn onto M-26 (at the Phoenix Store) and drive 2 miles to Eagle River. After crossing the Eagle River on the wooden bridge, make an immediate right. Go past the Houghton Township Hall, which is on your immediate left, to the next block. The courthouse ha pillars and is the first building on the left. The Sheriff's Department and Jail are in the second building. Use the driveway side entrance for the Sheriff's Department and Jail.

The courthouse hours are Monday - Friday (9 am to 4 pm). If it is stormy, or you are traveling a considerable distance, it is recommended that you verify that the courthouse is open. The courthouse is closed for most legal holidays.
